Craigslist Middleman Review

Craigslist Middleman review. This side gig earns you six figures, risk-free, they say. "The Craigslist Middleman" is the name. And a ten-year-old with a computer could manage it.

Of course, it's highly unlikely that you were familiar with this business model, for the simple reason that no one else is employing this cutting-edge marketing technique.

This suggests that the market is not oversaturated, making this a rare opportunity that should not be wasted.

The curtain must be drawn back. Shall we?

Stay to the end and I'll share with you my own experience with purchasing this course, and attempting to implement this strategy.

Hint: it didn't end well!

How does Craigslist Middleman work?

The course teaches you how to advertise high-priced services like logo and website design on Craigslist, and then hire freelancers on Fiverr to complete the work for you.

You will learn where to find the best freelancers to hire at affordable rates, what kinds of advertisements to run, and how to close clients over the phone.

This Craigslist Middleman review will discuss whether the course is a fraud, and if the business model presented in the course is effective.

What does Craigslist Middleman cost?

Price: Craigslist Middleman is a $97 digital course.

The ad claims that each month, only 10 participants are allowed to join the program. If you believe that, then I have some oceanfront property in Arizona I'd like to sell you! That is a scarcity tactic pure and simple.

Refund Policy: If after 90 days you aren't making $8,000-$9,000 per month, you can request that your money is refunded in full.

Training: You can start using the training materials (ad templates, headlines, articles, pictures, and ad copy) right away with the four primary training courses.

Group: There isn't a private Facebook group

Origin: The course creator outsourced labor from Craigslist to Fiverr and made six figures that year (2021).

What is this thing called "Craigslist"?

Online since 1995, Craigslist is a multi-purpose marketplace started by Craig Newmark. It is among the most visited online classifieds sites. Jobs, goods, tenants, and customers can all be sought out, as well as a variety of other connections. Jobs and services from companies and service providers can be posted on the website. Craigslist has users in over 70 countries and is available in 14 languages, although the majority of its visitors come from the United States (190 million visitors).

Who exactly is the brain behind the course material for "The Craigslist Middleman"?

Unfortunately, the identity of Craigslist Middleman's author remains a mystery. On the product page, his name does not appear at all. However, when we contacted support after purchasing, the reply was signed "Joe". That may or may not be the creator.

What’s inside The Craigslist Middleman?

The training teaches you four primary procedures.

Step 1) Post an ad on Craigslist for a Website or Logo Design

Posting an ad in Craigslist's services area is the first step in the process. You learn how to advertise for website and logo design services. These types of services can be easily outsourced, as they may be completed by anyone, anywhere in the world. The course will teach you his exact posting approach and the best ways to get your ad seen on Craigslist.

Step 2) Creating Your Craigslist Ad Sets

Making a Craigslist ad series is a great way to reach people interested in spending $500 to $3500 on design services. "Get Calls Like Crazy" is the name of the methodology taught in this training program.

Step 3) How to close clients via Phone or Text

The third phase of this method involves finalizing transactions. You are given training in customer service and the art of setting fees for your design work. The aim is to close clients who are willing to pay several thousand dollars for elaborate design projects. The effective scripts for making sales are made available to you. When a client accepts your fee, you can get paid using PayPal.

Step 4) Outsourcing the jobs on Fiverr

With outsourcing, this model can function smoothly. You will learn how to use the website Fiverr to locate qualified foreign freelancers to meet your client's demands.  The plan is to pay only 10% of the cost of outsourcing. Since you charged your customers hundreds, you can afford to pay them between $50 and $200 for every completed project. You simply outsource everything and pocket the extra 90% in earnings. Your client will receive the finished product straight from the international designer. Also, it is a strategy for taking this venture to the six-figure level.

Are there any upsells?

Not at the time of purchase, although a few weeks after joining, I received an email offering me a place in a "small group" with a Pro Level Upgrade for only $127. I didn't purchase it.

Is Craigslist Middleman a scam?

The Craigslist Middleman course is not a scam, nor is the internet business model it teaches. Online job boards like Craigslist and freelancer marketplaces like Fiverr, where you can recruit workers in any country for a small fee, are both very acceptable options. Generate leads through bought or organic traffic.

But the course and method of lead generation itself are problematic for me because of the difficulty in really following through on them. On Fiverr, you can hire remote workers in other countries. The issue with that is that you can't be sure the quality will meet your standards or those of your customers.

It takes more than just throwing together some photographs and basic information to make a deal for a 10-page website at $3500. Those are the kinds of intricate tasks that cost that much more. What if the client hates the design or wants numerous revisions made? The procedure can become tedious because the time difference takes time for the client and the Fiverr freelancer to speak with one another.

Now let's say the client is completely unhappy with the results and demands a refund. Both your time and potential earnings from the site's development have been wasted. Moreover, you waste the advertising budget you allocated to find this lead.

We couldn't find any complaints online. Could be that unsatisfied customers just make use of the refund guarantee.

My own experience with Craigslist Middleman

I actually put a lot of work into creating a website so that I could look like a legit business to potential clients. But when it came to advertising on Craigslist, things didn't go smoothly.

The course provides a template for ads that you can post on Craigslist. They suggest you change them up to "make them your own", which I spent a good while doing.

I posted two ads a week apart as they suggest, but both of them got removed by Craigslist as spam.

When I contacted Craigslist Middleman support they said that I - "copied it exactly and because of that Craigslist blocked you basically because they reported you as spam! I wouldn’t post anymore on that account or laptop!"

Which isn't true.. I spent a long time "making it mine"..

Their advice to remedy this was:

"Please make a new account on a different computer entirely and new email, different credit card, &. different number"

Given that I did change the copy, I wasn't convinced that it wouldn't happen again, so I gave up and refocused on other projects.

Craigslist Middleman Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Complete guide on how to make money by hiring Fiverr freelancers to complete tasks advertised on Craigslist
  • They discuss which Fiverr designers are the best options for contracting out project services
  • You'll learn 10 sub-markets to focus on and which 20 cities to use for The Craigslist Middleman plan

Cons

  • When needing a graphic design or website, more people are turning to Fiverr instead of sites like Craigslist
  • Sites can be quickly and easily created with the help of drag-and-drop website builders such as Snapps
  • Online logo generators like Canva make it easy to create custom graphics
  • I felt a bit uneasy promoting other people's services and passing them off as my own
  • Very easy to get your Craigslist posts removed (as I found).

Craigslist Middleman review verdict

In summary, this is not a scam and some people do seem to be making money with it. However, you're at the mercy of the Craigslist algorithm and administrators, and if they don't like your post then your account gets flagged and you have to start from scratch on a new computer and new payment details.

There are definitely easier ways to get started making money online, and my no1 recommendation, and how I do it is high ticket affiliate marketing
