5Linx Review

5Linx is a key example in the MLM  business, offering a variety of products and services designed to improve personal and professional lives, and promising both money and flexibility.

What is it about this business model that attracts so much attention? In this post, we’ll look closely at 5Linx to understand what products you can sell, how to join, how their compensation plan works, and its pros and cons.

How To Make Money With 5Linx

5Linx offers two primary ways for its members to earn money, focusing on direct sales and team building. This structure provides flexibility and multiple income sources for those involved in their MLM model.

1-Make Money From Sales

Members can earn by selling 5Linx products directly to consumers. The product range includes health supplements, home security services, credit score services, and more, serving a wide variety of customer needs.

5Linx offers a diverse product portfolio for members to promote and sell, including:

  • Montavida: Specialty coffee and tea.
  • Platinum Discount Network: Discounts accessible via smartphone.
  • Oxygen: Cannabidiol products.
  • Residential Energy Program: Alternative electricity supply.
  • Safescore: Credit score monitoring and identity validation.
  • Safeguard Services: Tech support and identity protection.
  • Teevee: Contract-free HD video service.
  • Captavida: A supplement designed to help normalize blood sugar levels.
  • Daily Dimes: A savings and rewards program.
  • Chroma Credit: Services for credit score analysis and improvement.

2-Make Money Building a Team

Building a team by recruiting new members into the 5Linx network is another way to earn. This expands the business and creates opportunities for earning from the sales made by recruited members.

5Linx allows members to earn in seven different ways, primarily through personal sales, team sales, and various bonuses, with the compensation structure based on a uni-level, rank-based system. Each rank has specific requirements, and beyond team commissions, bonuses offer additional earning opportunities but come with their own set of criteria.

How Much Does It Cost to Join 5Linx?

Joining 5Linx is designed to be an accessible entry point for new members with a variety of starter packages adapted to different levels of commitment and investment.

Here are the packages that the company offers:

  • Basic Starter Package: For a fee of $99, new members can join 5Linx, enabling them to earn a commission of 10-20% on product sales. There is an additional shipping charge of $5.95 for the starter kit, which provides the essential tools needed to begin selling and promoting 5Linx products.
  • Leader Starter Kit: Priced at $399, this package includes marketing materials, dietary supplements, promotional gift cards, and an energy certification for your sales page. It's designed for those who are serious about building their business with 5Linx and want to hit the ground running.
  • VIP Starter Package: This package includes everything from the Basic and Leader Starter Kits, plus an additional 100 -$10 gift cards and a ticket to an international 5Linx event. It's the top package for new members looking to fully immerse themselves in the 5Linx experience and network.

Investment and Returns

The cost of these packages represent an initial investment in your 5Linx business. With superior packages, there's a natural pressure to recover this investment through sales and recruitment.

Additionally, members are expected to invest in the products themselves, with costs starting at around $400. This initial financial commitment highlight the importance of actively engaging in the business to gain a return on investment.

5Linx Compensation Plan

The compensation plan for 5Linx is designed to reward members through a structured commission system, based on sales volume, team building, and personal achievement targets. This system is structured to adjust levels of involvement and ambition among its Independent Marketing Representatives (IMRs).

Commission Structure

  • Direct Sales Commissions: Distributors earn a 25% commission off the retail price of products sold. These equivalents to personal earnings range from 10% to 20%, depending on the volume of sales. The starting commission rate is 10%, with the possibility of reaching up to 20% as sales targets are met and exceeded.

  • Downline Commissions: Commissions from downline sales (sales made by recruited members) range from 5% to 50%, dependent upon the rank of the IMR within the company.

Qualifications for Earnings

  • Monthly Spending Requirement: To be eligible for downline commissions, IMRs must meet Personal Customer Point targets of at least 8 per month. These points can be accumulated through personal purchases or sales to customers. However, the base commission of 10% on sales does not require meeting these sales targets.

  • Product Subscription Requirements: For eligibility for certain bonuses, IMRs may be required to subscribe to selected 5Linx products, further integrating them into the company's ecosystem and ensuring familiarity with the products they are promoting.

Sales Support and Tools

Despite the challenges requested by the commission structure, such as the relatively low starting commission rate and the need to balance personal sales with team development, 5Linx offers support to its IMRs. This includes access to a personal website, training videos, and marketing materials, designed to facilitate sales and recruitment efforts.

5Linx Pros and Cons

Joining 5Linx comes with its set of pros and cons. Understanding these can help prospective members make informed decisions about their involvement.

Pros

  • Wide Range of Quality Products: 5Linx offers a diverse portfolio of products, including health supplements, telecommunication services, and home security solutions, attracting an expansive customer base.
  • Longevity: Established in 2001, 5Linx has demonstrated sustained strength  power in the competitive MLM business.
  • Personal Website: Members are provided with their website, facilitating the online marketing and sale of products.
  • Recurring Revenue: The opportunity to earn recurring revenue through sales and team building presents a direction for financial growth over time.

Cons

  • Emphasis on Recruitment: A key component of 5Linx's goal is expanding the network's membership. This may be a difficult part for some, particularly for those who are challenged to support the business plan or help new hires establish themselves in the organization.
  • Pressure on Personal Relationships: The MLM model often encourages members to reach out to personal contacts for sales or recruitment, which can lead to strained relationships if not approached with care. Myself being an introvert, didn't enjoy that, so I found other ways to build my business
  • Upline Pressure: There can be significant pressure from upline members to meet sales or recruitment targets, adding stress and potentially impacting one's well-being.

My Personal Experience

Over the years, I've worked with several MLM companies, having success with many of them and I moved on when the companies' product lines no longer aligned with my interests. But it's essential to partner with companies like 5Linx, known for their ethical practices and established history.

Conclusion

Those interested in joining 5Linx must understand the level of dedication required to succeed in a business like this. Success in 5Linx or any MLM business is not guaranteed and is mainly based on personal effort, the ability to effectively promote items, and the building of a supportive network.

Before going into the MLM business, it is recommended that you conduct extensive research and understand how it works. Participating with 5Linx or any MLM requires an organized approach to sales and team development. Proceed with care, prepared with knowledge and reasonable expectations for what it takes to succeed in the MLM field.
